Red Gum timber furniture

warm red toned timber furniture

Eucalyptus camaldulensis is a beautiful tree that is grown on plantations all over the world and is more commonly called river red gum.  This tree has a widespread distribution throughout most of Australia preferring inland waterways where it plays a vital role in the structure of the banks. Red gum is named for its stunning red wood with tones that range from a light pink to the deepest of reds. The timber frequently produces beautiful fiddleback because of its cross grains. The grain tends to be coarse with frequent gum veins creating a timber rich in beautiful unique character. As the timber is resistant to rot, it is often used in outdoor applications making it readily available recycled and perfect for outdoor furniture.
