The lake house - restaurant Banquet dining table

Large timber tables for banquet style eating at the Waterfront Pavilion

Commissioned to make a central piece for a new addition to the premier venue of in Daylesford, Luke worked closely with The Lake House for several months on the design of an epic 40 seat banquet table. The final configuration is made up of 5 separate tables that join together to make a single long, statement making table. Versatility was an important consideration in the design to ensure the space was suitable for different events. True to Bombora‚Äôs aesthetic, the dining tables are refined with a modern twist and built from stunning recycled Messmate timber with particular emphasis on the tone being consistent across the tables.

A natural oil and wax matte finished was used to protect the timber on the tables. This finish leaves the wood looking and feeling like timber whilst protecting it from spills and stains. The finish is easy to care for and maintain even in a busy commercial environment. The maintenance kit contains a concentrate cleaning product that is diluted and used for everyday cleaning. When the finish is starting to look a bit lackluster, the liquid wax spray aerosol product can be used to quickly top up the protective layer on the timber. This product is a simple spray and wipe.
