This beautiful custom made recycled Messmate buffet brings the classic 70′s silhouette into the 21st century. Constructed from recycled Messmate, this solid hardwood buffet is designed to let the natural beauty of the timber be the star of the piece. This piece shows off the natural variation of toner that occurs in Messmate. One of the images displays another version of the same design using timber that varies in tone from light to dark and has less character.
The timber was hand picked for this piece to be rich in natural features of grain patterns, sap lines and pockets. Box joints were used for the shell of the piece to show off the dense end grain and to add another feature. The shelving is designed to be adjusted to the clients requirements.
