Bayside House Project

Timber kitchen cupboards

This stunning healthy home in Bayside Melbourne showcases the beauty of timber

This gorgeous home in the Bayside suburbs of Melbourne was renovated to create more room and update the aesthetic to the homeowner’s tastes. In each room, solid timber joinery was used to create a sense of warmth and earthiness. A vital factor in the interior design for our client was for the materials used throughout their space to be non-toxic with no release of formaldehyde or other nasty volatile organic compounds (VOC’s).

Custom wooden vanities

Bespoke timber vanities were created for the three bathrooms in this beautiful home. To ensure that storage was maximised, a corner vanity was designed to make the most of every little bit of space including functional towel shelving. The timber used to create these wooden vanities is recycled Messmate, a native Victoria species or Eucalyptus. This wood is known for its beautiful black sapline features. The clients selected solid timber inside and out for their vanities in line with the eco values.

Timbery laundry joinery

These custom wooden cupboard doors lifts the mundane to new heights! The recycled Messmate flows across the front of the laundry cupboards in a beautiful pattern. Solid timber floating shelves and a handing rack create functionality in the space without compromising on the client’s ecofriendly values. Paper rock was used to create the bench tops.

Timber kitchen bench and cabinets

The grains in the recycled timber kitchen doors and drawers flows across the piece turning cabinetry into art. Crafted from timber inside and out, this wooden kitchen is the ultimate in eco-friendliness. Being a renovatable material, the timber in this kitchen will last for generations only growing in beauty over time. The open shelving sections throughout the design bring styling opportunities to create individuality to the space.

Inbuilt timber banquette seating

With space at a premium in this beautiful Melbourne home, inbuilt timber bench seating was the best way to make the most of the dining room. This wooden banquette seating has storage space within.
