Surf Coast House

This stunning Surf Coast home pairs polished concrete floors with white walls and lots of solid timber joinery. A sense of cohesive flow was created in the interior design by having a touch of timber in every space. Messmate timber was chosen for this project as the warm brown tone matched the window frames and the black sap lines tied in with other black elements throughout the home.

Custom timber vanities

An Avoca timber vanity was created for each of the bathrooms in this beautiful home. As the white, concrete and black colour scheme had been continued throughout the wet rooms, wooden vanities added an inviting warmth and luxury to these spaces. Recycled Messmate was chosen by the client for the project with a low to medium sap line feature level. The subtle sap lines ensured that the vanities stood out in the bathrooms but didn’t visually take over the space.

Timber wardrobe joinery

The custom timber wardrobe is the ultimate in luxury! The joinery was designed to have a combination of drawers, hanging and cupboard storage as well as beautiful display shelves. Recycled Messmate timber was continued through this space with the grain running vertically to enhance the sense of height in the room.

Floating timber TV cabinet

To match the scale of the rooms in this beautiful home, very large wall hung TV cabinets were created. A combination of cupboards and open display cubes balances out the size of the pieces with plenty of styling opportunities. The sap line and grain of the recycled Messmate runs across the fronts of the pieces to create a sense of flow.

Recycled Messmate dining table

The client chose a Messmate Jan Juc dining table to complete their space. The angle of the legs is a modern tweak to a classic box leg design in line with the contemporary aesthetic to the home. The 10 seater table can easily become 12 with the addition of extra chairs to the ends.
