Bayside House

Custom timber kitchen cabinetry, bathroom vanities, laundry storage & bespoke bay window seating

This gorgeous home in the Bayside suburbs of Melbourne was recently renovated to create more room and update the aesthetic to the homeowners tastes. In each room, solid timber joinery was used to create a sense of warmth and earthiness. A vital factor in the interior design for our client was for the materials used throughout their space to be non toxic with no release of formaldehyde or other nasty volatile organic compounds (VOC’s). The natural oil and wax finish we used on the timber called Osmo, is very low VOC, non-toxic, food and toy safe. The internal aspects of all of the kitchen cabinetry is created from the same recycled Messmate timber as the cupboard doors and drawers. To maximise storage in the main bathroom, we created an asymmetrical corner vanity which made use of every little bit of available space. In the powder room, a small timber vanity was created to the exact dimensions of the basin to not encroach on the room.
