Our latest dining table design ‘Fairhaven’ features bespoke solid timber legs with a beautiful, solid recycled Australian Messmate hardwood top. Rich in warm brown & cream tones, recycled Messmate is known for its swirling grains & frequent sap lines making for a character filled timber.
Designed by Luke, our head furniture maker, especially for a new client to accomodate the high arms and wide seats of her existing dining chairs. Luke came up with a table design that not only looked beautiful, but with the sub-frame hidden down the centre of the table, there was enough room to comfortably accomodate the high arms of the chairs when tucked beneath.
The careful placement of the chunky square legs allows for 2 regular sized chairs at either end of the table if required when hosting a crowd, along with 3-4 seats down either side of the table. The modern yet timeless design of the iconic Basket Dining Chair would work beautifully for these occasions!
Each Fairhaven dining table is custom made to suit your space & style of chairs … shown here is the exposed tenon join, and the central sub-frame, which allows for high arm chairs and maximum seating around the table.
