Our Custom Timber Furniture Order Process
From design to delivery - How we create your furniture
Ordering custom furniture doesn’t have to be complicated. Over the past 14+ years, we’ve refined a simple, collaborative process to make it easy to create your perfect piece of furniture.
Step 1 > Refine your design
This is where your ideas start taking shape. Whether you’re choosing from our existing collection or creating something unique, we’ll help you design a piece that fits your style and space perfectly.

Step 2 > Place your order
You can confirm your order in whichever way suits you best:
By email>
In person at our workshop or over the phone
Via our interactive order form>
Once your order is confirmed, we’ll email you:
Your 50% deposit invoice
Your estimated completion date
A link to our interactive order form (if you haven’t already completed it)
The order form gathers all the finer details that we need to complete your design drawings such as waste location information for vanities and timber feature level. We also get your delivery preferences and if you want to include a maintenance kit.
Step 3 > Design Drawing
Once we’ve received your deposit and completed order form, our head furniture maker, Luke, will create customised design drawings for your furniture. These are emailed to you for review and approval, and any changes needed will be made until everything is exactly right.
For bathroom furniture and joinery projects, we recommend sharing the drawings with your tradespeople to ensure the design works perfectly for your space.
Step 4 > Crafting your furniture
Once your drawings are approved, we order any specialised components and arrange timber from our trusted suppliers in Melbourne and Geelong.
When your place in our production schedule arrives, our team of skilled furniture makers begin handcrafting your piece in our solar-powered Torquay workshop. Every cut, joint and finish is completed with care, ensuring your design is made exactly to plan.
Step 5 > Preparing for Delivery or Pickup
The week before your furniture is complete, we’ll confirm the date your furniture will be ready to be dispatched and will send your balance invoice. Once payment is received, your piece will be ready for collection or delivery.
If you’re collecting your piece yourself or arranging your own freight:
Please let us know the day and time so we can have it ready for collection.
We do not supply packing materials, so please bring your own.
If your freight provider requires the piece to be palletised or wrapped, let us know and we can arrange this for you for an additional cost to cover time and materials.
If we’re arranging delivery:
TNT delivery: You’ll receive tracking updates directly from TNT. We can give you an ETA.
Bombora delivery: We will find a time that suits to deliver your furniture.
Furniture movers: They will contact you directly with a delivery date and window.
