This stunning architecturally designed home features modern wooden cabinetry throughout. The focal point of the light-filled open plan living area is a large timber TV unit.

The owners and designers have given careful consideration to every aspect of the house, ensuring that it is compact yet contains everything the family needs. The walls and ceilings throughout the home are made of timber, which seamlessly blends into the wooden cabinetry, including wardrobes, kitchen cabinets and a matching wooden dining table.

Wooden Kitchen Cabinetry

The light-filled wooden kitchen features the same Messmate that lines the walls and ceiling throughout the home. The sap lines flow across the wooden cabinetry drawing the eye across the space. Open shelving was created to creatively display beautiful items to customise the space. The internals of the kitchen drawers and cupboards are black to match the dark features in the wood. A matte green tile was chosen to match the feature colour which is repeated through the interior design.

Study timber desk and shelving

In the study, the Messmate wood cabinetry is continued with a timber bench top, drawers and open shelving. The compact space is utilized to its fullest with celing height book shelves and integrated storage. The space is filled with natural light, and the green tone is repeated in a pin board which also helps in dampening sound.

Wooden sideboard — Timber sideboard

This wooden sideboard is cleverly recessed into the wall to maximise storage without intruding into the space. Intended as a place to keep shoes, bags and keys in handy reach from the front door, the design of the sideboard mirrors the other timber cabinetry in the room.

Wooden Dining Table

A bespoke Bancora dining table was crafted using the same Messmate as the surrounding timber cabinetry. The pieces of wood were carefully chosen to highlight the flowing sap lines on a few key sticks, which became a prominent feature on the table. The modern design boasts angled and tapered legs that optimize the seating area. The wooden dining table is seamlessly integrated into the kitchen island, appearing like an extension of the island's cabinetry.

The wardrobes in every bedroom were custom-made to match the wooden cabinetry design of the rest of the house. A bedhead made of timber was built into the wall and with bookshelves above to provide additional storage.

Wooden TV unit

A unique entertainment unit was crafted to serve as the centerpiece of the spacious open-plan living area. Made from Messmate, which matches the other wooden cabinetry in the area, the TV unit provides generous storage in this cozy home. The shelves were meticulously designed to fit beautiful and functional items. The inside of the wooden TV unit was constructed from the same black melamine as the kitchen, creating a stunning feature out of the finger pulls.
